Modi Celebrates Independence Day India as “Bharat Parv”: 15 August 2016 will be celebrated in different style because this year India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to make Independence Day as a “Bharat Parv”. The Bharat Parv is to be organized at Rajpath to celebrate India’s Independence Day 2016.
The event begins from 12 August 2016, will be organised at Rajpath near India Gate to celebrate the country’s independence and also promote the spirit of patriotism among citizens and give a boost to tourism. Chief Guest on 70th Independence Day
About 100 stalls will be installed at Rajpath for 6 days of Handicrafts invited from different states like Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Odisha. The event would also have performance by armed forces bands. The historic India Gate would also be kept illuminated during the event, which will be inaugurated on 12th August 2016 at 5 PM. The celebrations will conclude on August 18.
